Soft Rings
Qaghaq tal-Hmira (Soft Rings)
A sweet bread-like product, traditionally shaped by hand into the form of a circle, from a yeast leavened dough. The result is a soft dense texture with a browned exterior and seseame seeds baked on the outer crust.
Qaghaq tal-Hmira (Soft Rings) have become a favourite product on the Maltese islands, eaten alone or spread with jam, with a hot brew in the morning or just as a sweet treat throught the day.
